Story
Hi friends,
I am undertaking part of the 223km Larapinta Trail in May 2021 over 6 days raising funds for The Reach Foundation supporting their incredible work with Australia's youth. The funds from this walk will go directly to their programs and workshops for our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander youth. I am covering the costs for my participation.
Below is more detail for how you could help me in this endeavor in raising funds.
Additionally there are a few spots vacant for this great adventure in case you want to join me. There is a great crew coming along. Feel free to call me for more details.
Some background;
The Reach Foundation is offering supporters the opportunity to be part of the Reach Larapinta Trail Challenge. This is a unique opportunity to raise much needed funds to support Reach’s work for young people and to take on a personal and physical challenge.
The Larapinta Trail is one of the seven Great Walks of Australia and is now noted as one of the top 10 walks in the world. Located in the heart of Central Australia, the Larapinta Trail is regarded as one of Australia’s finest long-distance walking tracks. Stretching 223km across the breathtaking West MacDonnell Ranges near Alice Springs, the legendary trekking route offers an abundant of natural treasures and awe-inspiring sights.
The diversity of trail stages is impressive, at times the trail descends from the ridge line into narrow canyons where sheltered pockets of delicate fern and twisted gum trees grow from the dry rivers of sand. On other stages we walk to the impressive Simpsons Gap and Standley Chasm and summit Mt Sonder (1380m) where we can trace the entire West MacDonnell Range.
All funds raised will enable Reach to continue the important work to empower every young person to reach their full potential and thrive. We do this through life changing and profound group workshops for young people, created and delivered by other young people, designed to build confidence, empathy and resilience.
Thank you
for your consideration.

Reach encourages young people, no matter what their circumstances, to believe they can achieve.
Each year, 50,000 young people experience Reach. Independent research has found Reach’s youth-led workshops can improve the wellbeing of young people by significantly enhancing their feelings of meaning and engagement. www.reach.org.au
